Study Centre 1639 (Balbhim College, Beed)

            Indira Gandhi National Open University was established by an act of Parliament of India in 1985. (Act No.50 of 1985).  B.A., B.Com., Certificate Diplomas and Post Graduate Courses were introduced in 2005 and B.Sc. was introduced in 2012 in our Study Centre 1639 (Balbhim College, Beed).

  2. Providing access to high quality education to all those who seek it notwithstanding their age, region, religion and gender.
  3. Offering need-based academic programmes by giving professional and vocational orientation to the courses.
  4. Promoting and developing distance education in India.
  5. Setting and maintaining standards in distance education in the country as an apex body.

Academic Programmes:

            IGNOU Study Centre (1639) of our college offers long term programmes leading to certificates, Diplomas & Degrees which are conventional as well as innovative. Considering the demands and needs of the students of this region we have introduced  Certificate, Diploma and Degree Programmes such as B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., M.A. English, M.A. Hindi, M.A. History, M.A. Political Science, M.A. Public Administration, M.A. Economics, M.A. Psychology, M.A. Anthropology, M.A. Sociology, M.Com., P.G. Diploma in Rural Development, P.G. Diploma in Disaster Management, P.G. Diploma in Folklore and Culture Studies, Certificate Course in Rural Development, Certificate Course in Disaster Management, Certificate in Teaching of English as a second language etc.
