The department of Economics plays crucial role in the economic awareness in society through youth, especially in the rural area. More than 60 percent students of economics are from the villages around the Beed city. Syllabus of the economics for U.G. and P.G. spread up the knowledge of commercial behavior and it’s important in the every successful citizen of India.
The department of Economics was established as one of the integral part of the college in the year 1960. Since then we are conducting Under Graduate Course and from 2008-09 Post Graduation course is being conducted. The Department has a tradition of highly qualified lecturers. Mr. H.S.Krushnamurti was the first head of the department. The department aims at the overall development of students. All the faculty members of our department are well qualified and they always encourage the students. Our department also has its own library to avail almost all kinds of books to the students. Dr. Ghumatkar S. E. has been working as Head of the Department.
